    Studio Jepson Ladies Dressmaking Workshop : Tilly and the Buttons Dominique Skirt Sewing Course.

    Ever wanted to learn how to sew? Do you have a machine still sitting in its box waiting to be used?

    Come join Faye on Sunday March 8th 2020 to stitch the Tilly and the Buttons' Dominique skirt in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere!

    This is a great pattern to make for beginners and comes two styles:
    Straight skirt with patch pockets
    Flared skirt with optional waist sash.

    Faye will show you how to stitch the skirt to make a garment you can be proud of! You will learn lots of tips and tricks such as how to hack the flared skirt option to have side seam pockets!

    You will learn:
    How to chose your size from measurements.
    How to prepare and cut your pattern.
    How to sew side seams.
    How to attach patch pockets.
    How to hack the pattern to include side seam pockets.
    How to hem a garment.
    How to construct an elasticated waist.

    Free on site parking is available.
    Tea and coffee will be provided.
    Please bring packed lunch. Microwaves are also available.

    Requirements:
    Sewing machine in full working order. (If you do not have a machine but would like to attend please get in touch via Faye [!at] StudioJepson.com as some spare machines are available to use)

    Basic sewing kit - Scissors, pins, hand needle etc.

    Fabric : for straight skirt 45/ 60 inch wide fabric 1.5m
    for flared skirt 45 inch wide fabric 3.5m or 60 inch wide fabric 2.5m
    PLEASE NOTE THESE USAGES DO NOT ALLOW FOR DIRECTIONAL PRINTS.

    Notions : 1inch wide elastic for waist, matching thread.
